Students get a peek into the world of logistics

For the first time, 45 students from the state technical college and higher vocational school in Traunstein (FOS & BOS) were able to get an impression of Spedition EBERL. For many of the ladies and gentlemen, the 17th of March was the first time that they had ever set foot inside a logistics operation. Owners Thomas Eberl and Damir Suk gave them a closer look inside the logistics sector by means of many practical examples. One of these examples dealt with air cargo security, which has increased in importance due to the terrorist attacks of the past. The students were especially impressed that the freight forwarder’s directors spoke with them personally and answered their questions on various topics. Explanations came from examples of daily life in the company. The tour of the facility was also a highlight of their visit. After all, in a warehouse covering 14,500 sq m, there is a quite a bit to discover. If some of the students took an interest in logistics and could see a future for themselves in the industry, they now have the chance to apply for an apprenticeship. At the moment, Eberl is looking for a specialist in warehouse logistics and a clerk for their freight forwarding and logistics services. We are looking forward to eager applicants!
