600 kilo safe rolls through pedestrian mall
It was truly a rare sight: On the 31st of March 2015, a safe, 1.5 meters in height and weighing 600 kilograms, rolled through downtown Rosenheim’s pedestrian area. Many of the onlookers stopped and stared at this rather unusual sight. The reason for this spectacle was the goldsmith, Jurij Keil’s move. And who could have been better suited for this heavy project than the moving team from EBERL Logistics? This team is specialized in transporting unusual cargo – regardless if it’s a grand piano or heavy machinery. The transport caused such a commotion that even the local television station, RFO, aired a report on it. After 45 years at their old location, the EBERL team helped Goldsmith Kraudzun move into their new premises, complete with showcases, jewelry and security systems. The latter included a safe that was anything but easy to handle. Needless to say, nothing is impossible for the members of the former Loaders’ Guild. Armed with a hand-operated forklift, the EBERL crew maneuvered the heavy piece of equipment through the streets and brought the safe safely to its new home.
